Göztepe Education and Research Hospital, where the same campus Medical Faculty and R&D building will be located, is being rebuilt with seismic isolation technology within the scope of ISMEP project. The project is targeted to be completed in 2018. All single and double rooms of the new hospital planned as a general service hospital will be made in accordance with the definition of qualified patient bed created by the Ministry of Health. The total indoor area of the hospital is 250.000 m2 and the land area is 109.000 m2. The 860-bed, fully-equipped hospital is a Gold certification candidate in the LEED Healthcare category.

One of the major green building applications that stands out is the trigeneration system.  Building shell insulation thicknesses, glass insulation and sunlight transmittance values, green roof applications, efficient lighting fittings are efficiently designed over international standards while the energy costs of the building will be reduced to minimum.
