Located in Çatalca, Türk Ytong Sanayi A.Ş. Çatalca Mineral Processing and Enrichment Facility has been awarded with the certificate of GOOD level in BREEAM International 2013 category. Thus, it is the first factory building in Turkey to receive certification in this category.  In mechanical and lighting systems with higher efficiency equipment energy consumption and CO2 emissions are reduced according to international standards. Energy consumption of all kinds of systems such as heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting are observed by energy analyzers and building automation system. With these improvements, it is possible to control at which level energy efficiency targets are met.  Rain water is collected in order to meet production and irrigation needs. In addition, with the solenoid valves, when water is not used in wet spaces, water is cut off to prevent water leakage. Waste collection stations and main garbage collection areas were established at the points where users can easily reach in the office and production areas for collecting and reusing recyclable waste.
