Vega Business Center in Altunizade is entitled to receive the LEED GOLD certificate. Project was designed and constructed considering the sustainability criteria from the design stage to the completion of the construction process. Water and energy efficiency issues, which have been given a great deal of importance, have been successfully resolved through the selection of mechanical equipments in accordance with international standards. In order to improve the user’s health and comfort, materials with VOC (volatile organic component) are used in the interior. It is also designed to provide maximum benefit from natural lighting and ventilation with emphasis on the use of recyclable and local materials.

In the project, priority parking spaces for bicycle parks and low emission vehicles were set up and electric vehicle charging stations were installed to support alternative transportation options and reduce CO2 emissions from vehicle use. In order to increase water saving, plants with low water consumption were used, rain water collected from roofs and hard floors was collected in a depot and used in irrigation system. The waste generated during the construction process is recycled and reused to reduce the amount of waste. In addition, Erosion and Sedimentation Plan was established and monitored to prevent pollution of water resources and dust formation during construction.
