Yapi Enerji Doğal Yalıtım Malzemeleri San. ve Tic. A.Ş (STYRONIT) is the first company in Turkey that is obtaining EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) document for its production of the thermal insulation plasters produced at Tuzla Istanbul Plant.  Styronit has proven to be an environmentally conscious company, by declaring its environmental performances transparently.

This EPD document, obtained by the result of intensive studies of ALTENSİS, Turkey’s leading green building and sustainability consultancy firm, declared potential environmental effects of all processes from cradle-to-gate . This document, issued by the German Building and Environment Institute (IBU) EPD program, is internationally valid.

EPD’ler Hakkında

ISO 14040-44 Yaşam Döngüsü Değerlendirmesi çalışması temel alınarak hazırlanan EPD’lerde, ürün veya servisin potensiyel çevresel performansları değerlendirilmektedir. Tip III’de yer alan bu çevre etiketi, ISO 14025’e göre tanımlanmaktadır. Çevresel ürün beyanına sahip olan ürünler,  yeşil bina  pazarında (LEEDv4, BREEAM) ilave puanlar kazandırarak avantajlar sağlamaktadır.

İlaveten, Yapı Malzemeleri Yönetmeliği’nde doğal kaynakların sürdürülebilir olması gerekliliği ve bunun da Çevresel Ürün Beyanı (EPD) ile yapılabileceği belirtilmektedir.
