The Soyak Siesta Blue project in Izmir has been awarded the LEED Silver certificate. The project minimizes the use of individual vehicles with proximity to public transportation stops, priority parking spaces reserved for low emission vehicles and bicycle parks.

During the construction process, the erosion and sedimentation plan was developed to minimize damage to the environment; Measures have been taken to prevent dust formation and water and construction pollution. Recyclable wastes are collected during construction and the building has been opened and reused.

The amount of green area increased according to pre-construction situation; The amount of water spent for irrigation has been reduced by using local and adaptive plants. With appropriate glass and façade design, highly efficient mechanical and lighting systems, more than 20% energy savings are achieved according to international standards.

Measures were taken during construction to prevent air leakage to the common areas between apartments  and inefficiencies that could occur due to heat loss-gain, resulting in “Leakage test”. Materials with low volatile organic component content (VOC) are preferred for construction chemicals and dyes.
