The Soyak Optimus project is located in Izmir Mavişehir and consists of two blocks, Optimus First and Optimus Gold. The Soyak Optimus project designed and built with the sustainability criteria in mind and has been awarded the LEED Gold certification.

In order to reduce the impact on the environment in the project, a previously developed land area has been selected and designed as more than 20% of the land is a green area. Priority parking spaces have been provided for sufficient bicycle parking and low emissions vehicles to reduce car usage. In addition, transportation-related emissions have been reduced due to public transport opportunities and social proximity to the surrounding area. With the use of rainwater in garden irrigation and the choice of low water consumption luminaire, more than 30% water savings have been achieved in the project. In the green areas, local plants and adapted plants with low water demand were used. With energy efficient mechanical equipment, facade tiling and appropriate glass selection, the building has achieved more than 24% energy saving compared to international standards. Infrastructure and automation monitoring system are designed to track energy consumption of mechanical systems separately. Construction waste such as cardboard, metal, plastic, glass, pallets, scaffoldings, etc., was recycled. In addition, waste collecting boxes have been placed in floor halls for recyclable wastes generated during use. Collected recyclable wastes are regularly sent to recycling. Measures were taken during construction to prevent air leakage to the common areas between apartments and inefficiencies that could occur due to heat loss-gain, resulting in “Leakage test”. Materials with low volatile organic component content (VOC) are preferred for interior building chemicals and dyes.
