The Narlife project in Maltepe is entitled to receive LEED certification at the GOLD level. The project consists of three housing blocks A-B-C.
In the project, bicycle parking lots and electric vehicle charging stations were provided in sufficient quantities for the residents and employees to minimize the use of automobiles. Green roof application was made with emphasis on increasing the amount of green area in the project, and local and adapted plants were selected to minimize irrigation needs. High efficiency mechanical and electrical systems have been selected to save energy. During the construction process, measures have been taken in order to minimize the damage to the environment, such as dust formation and pollution of water resources. In addition, recyclable wastes generated during this process are collected and separated for reuse. In order to improve the user health and comfort of the interior; adequate natural ventilation was provided in the houses, suitable glass was selected for maximum benefit from daylight, low VOC (low volatile organic compound) construction chemicals were used.
