MASS Design Konfeksiyon has accelerated its manufacturing and exportation processes with its new eco-friendly building. Also located in Bursa Demirtas Dumlupınar Organized Industrial Zone, the MASS KONFEKSIYON building has been awarded the certificate at the PLATINUM level under the LEED for New Construction category.

MASS KONFEKSIYON building can serve its occupants without harming the environment, as it is located in a previously developed area with an installed infrastructure. Its location close to public transport facilities helps to reduce the use of individual vehicles. In addition, the presence of electric vehicle charging stations provides incentives to reduce carbon emissions.

In landscape design, attention has been paid to plant bio-diversity and the use of local plants. Efficient irrigation systems installed. Precautions have been taken for rainwater runoff and the treated water is used for landscape irrigation. In the project, priority has been given to material selections that would reduce the heat island effect. The middle terrace with plants provides a space to socialize. The roof area consists of sloped parts to both benefit from daylight and provide a surface suitable for PV (Photovoltaic) systems.

In the project, it is aimed to use systems that will consume less energy and water, and to create designs and solutions that will increase indoor air quality. In addition, the energy provided from the PV panels installed to the roof is used in the building, thus more saving is achieved. With the use of efficient and comfortable water fixtures, it is provided water efficiency at international standards without sacrificing user comfort. In this way, the energy consumption of the building has been reduced by more than 42% and the indoor water consumption by more than 45%. Indoor air quality has been provided with the precautions taken during the construction and the selection of materials with low emissions. In addition, attention was paid to providing quality views to occupants and to have benefited from the daylight at optimum level.

Sustainable and eco-friendly construction materials are used in the building. Recyclable waste points and the main collection area are provided in order to separate the recyclable wastes from domestic wastes during the operation process. With all these practices, unnecessary consumption of resources can be prevented.
