Clarion Hotel Golden Horn in Sütlüce is awarded the LEED Silver certificate. In the project, studies were carried out by taking into consideration the sustainability criteria from the design stage to the completion of the construction process.
Water and energy efficiency issues, which have been given a great deal of importance, have been successfully resolved through water efficient armatures and the selection of mechanical equipment in accordance with international standards. In order to improve the user’s health and comfort, VOC (volatile organic component) low materials are used in the interior. Recycled and local materials have been given importance, designed to provide maximum benefit from natural lighting and ventilation.
Priority vehicle parking areas reserved for low-emission vehicles and bicycle parks have been set up and electric vehicle charging stations have been installed to support alternative transport options and reduce CO2 emissions from vehicle use.
The amount of waste has been reduced through the recycling and reuse of wastes generated during the construction process. In addition, Erosion and Sedimentation Plan was established and monitored to prevent pollution of water resources and dust formation during construction.
