The Eurasia Tunnel Operation and Maintenance Center building, located at the entrance of Eurasia Tunnel’s Asia side, is eligible to receive the GOLD certification under the LEED v2009 New Construction and Major Renovations category.
In the project, efficient luminaries have been used to increase water and energy efficiency, and international standards have been taken into account in the selection of mechanical equipment. Light colored hard flooring materials have been used to reduce heat island effect, parking lots covered with light colored canopy.
In order to improve the user’s health and comfort, low VOC (volatile organic component) materials are used in the interior and fresh air is provided above the international standards.
The waste generated during the construction process is recycled and reused to reduce the amount of waste. In addition, Erosion and Sedimentation Plan was established and monitored to prevent pollution of water resources and dust formation during construction.
