AKSA AKRİLİK HEAD OFFICE project has been awarded with GOLD level certificate in LEED New Construction category. In this context, many environmental and human friendly features have been integrated into project design and construction. Project was designed and constructed considering the sustainability criteria from the concept project stage, has been handled with the principle of creating a healthy and ecological working environment. While the reduction of carbon emissions is targeted, public transportation is encouraged with the bus stop and shuttle service near the AKSA headquarters building. The erosion and sedimentation plan has been developed to minimize damage to the environment and nature throughout the construction process; measures have been taken to prevent dust formation and water and construction pollution.

Water consumption in the building with the use of efficient faucets, 50% efficiency was achieved in water consumption. With energy efficiency good mechanical-electrical systems, facade stratification and appropriate glass selection, the building has achieved 20% energy saving according to international standards. The necessary infrastructure and automation monitoring system are designed to track energy consumption of these systems separately.

In addition, the project has taken care to use Recycled Content and Local Materials. In order to improve user health and comfort, the amount of fresh air supplied to the premises is kept above international standards; paint, adhesive, putty chemicals with low VOC value were used in the interior.
