Soyak Konforia Project is awarded the Silver certified in LEED v3 New Construction category for 3 residential blocks. Since the early stage, many environmental and human-friendly features were integrated into the project design and construction.
The project aims to minimize the use of individual vehicles with priority parking spaces for low-emission vehicles and bicycle storages. In order to minimize the adverse effect on the environment, erosion and sedimentation plans are developed, precautions are taken to prevent water and construction pollution caused by dust generation.
By selecting efficient water fixtures in each of the blocks, more than 20% efficiency in water consumption has been achieved. Native and adaptive plants are selected to reduce irrigation demand. Mechanical and lighting systems are designed in an efficient way to consider compliance with international standards.
Necessary precautions were taken during the construction stage to prevent air leakage from the between flats and flats to common areas and to remove inefficiencies due to heat loss-gain and the “Blowerdoor Test” resulted in success.
