Oyak Dragos Plaza – C Block located in Oyak Dragos development project in Maltepe region with an established infrastructure has achieved GOLD level certificate of LEED v4 BD+C CS category. The project was undertaken with the principle of creating a healthy and ecological living environment, and in order not to cause a heat island effect in the region, light colors were emphasized in the selection of surface finish materials and green roof & nonroof areas were created. Plant species are selected carefully suitable for the climate and soil structure of the region. Building users can benefit from public transportation and other facilities within walking distance and have access to social facilities that can meet their daily needs. Electric vehicle charging stations have been placed in parking areas to support environmentally friendly vehicle use. By using efficient water fixtures & fittings that consume less water, more than 35% water savings are achieved in water consumption according to international EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) standards. Energy efficiency requirements are taken into consideration in selecting all MEP systems used within the scope of the project. International energy efficiency standard (ASHRAE 90.1.2010) requirements were prioritized in the design and selection of lighting fixtures, heating, cooling, ventilation and lighting-mechanical automation. In the building design, when planning the interior layout of frequently used areas, the optimum use of daylight & access to quality views by the building users were prioritized. Indoor air quality was ensured for users with the precautions taken during the construction and the selection of materials with low emission.
