Located in Újlipótváros, one of the most important districts of Budapest, Duna Pearl Project consists of two buildings, a residence and a hotel, that take user comfort into consideration and are completed with environmentally friendly applications. The hotel part was put into operation as Four Points by Sheraton. Duna Pearl Project has been certified at the GOLD level of the LEED v4 BD+C New Construction category.
Duna Pearl Project, which has a strong human-environment relationship and offers solutions to increase user comfort, is located in an area with an established infrastructure. Thus, users can easily access public transportation and social facilities within walking distance. In addition, there are electric vehicle charging stations within the scope of the project. The project aims to reduce emissions caused by transportation.
While preparing the operating scenario of the project, the main axis was the use of systems that will consume less energy and water and designs and solutions that will increase indoor air quality. American Energy Efficiency Standard requirements were taken into consideration in project decisions, and energy-saving devices and systems that ensure this were used. In this way, it is aimed to reduce expenses without compromising comfort by providing optimum solutions in energy efficiency.
Indoor air quality has been ensured for users through the measures taken during construction and the selection of low-emission materials. In addition, users can easily access quality landscape viewing.
Scraps generated during building construction were delivered to waste areas in a way that would not harm the environment, and wastes with recyclable content were delivered to recycling areas. Among the construction materials used in the building, sustainable and environmentally friendly ones were primarily preferred.
