The expansion project of the Beko Çamaşır Makinesi İşletmesi in Manisa has been awarded the EDGE Advanced certification in line with its sustainability goals. The project has achieved significant success in energy efficiency, water conservation, and environmental sustainability.
In the project, a 73% efficiency was achieved according to the EDGE energy criteria, 23% according to the water criteria, and 20% according to the material efficiency criteria. This success was made possible through the implementation of energy-efficient systems, the use of sustainable materials, and minimizing water consumption.
The operational scenario focuses on advanced systems aimed at reducing energy and water consumption. In the project, energy-saving devices and systems have been prioritized, and with the installation of a rooftop solar power plant (GES) with a total capacity of 10.2 MWp for self-consumption, 36% of the campus’s total electricity demand is met by the solar plant. In this way, energy efficiency has been improved, and a significant reduction in operating costs has been achieved.
